Finally! The sketch ( [link] ) has been colored!

While I was coloring this, I thought of all the possible AUs that could apply to any combination of babies. ItaSaku could be best friends with DeiHina, or SasuHina's more talkative cousin. ShikaHina and ChouTema could be utterly terrified of NaruIno. The NaruTema and KankuHina cousins could pick on their distant NejiIno cousin. ShinoSaku and NejiIno could compete for the affection of SasuHina, who finds LeeAnko inspiring. The possibilities are endless! And could we have anymore Byakugan babies?

Okay, introductions:

NaruTema: On the fan; parents got together when father went to mother for extensive wind chakra training; giant fan is from mother, colors (and spirals) obviously picked out by father; has father's perseverance and mother's smarts, enabling him to handle the pressure of being the son of a Hokage and the nephew of a Kazekage .

KibaTen: Holding onto NaruTema baby; parents got together after a rousing game of fetch (mom likes to throw things, dad is practically a dog); inherited father's looks, except for his eyes--has mother's bright brown eyes instead of father's vertical slits; mother's impeccable aim and father's speed allow child to play fetch with himself.

NaruIno: Far left in box; parents got together when father realized there was another girl just like his first love Sakura, except she doesn't hit him when angry or have the figure of a 10-year-old boy; child inherited both parents' bubbly and friendly personalities; hair is a buttery blond somewhere in between father's bright yellow blond hair and mother's pale platinum blond hair; eyes are mother's jewel-like eyes, but with father's color.

GaaHina: Second from left in box; parents got together because mother was the only woman that didn't frighten father who was generally new to social situations; child is just as quiet as her parents; inherited mother's Byakugan; hair is a combination of both parents, ending up something like lingonberry; heart barrette made of glass produced from father's sand manipulating abilities.

LeeAnko: Standing on box; parents got together when mother found that father was the only man who had the stamina to keep up with her; child takes after father quite a bit, but mother appreciates her passion and love of competition; outfit was a baby shower gift from Gai.

ShinoSaku: Far right on box; parents got together when mother's exceptional healing abilities managed to heal a disastrous wound in father's hive-modified body; child is quick-witted, has father's patience and mother's knack for memorization; called "Cotton Candy" because hair is the color of her mother's, but the texture of her father's; sandals were custom made along with NejiIno's (the mothers insist that their daughters are fashion-forward).

SasuHina: Sitting in front of box; parents got together because mother was the only woman father could stand; child is a genius like his father, but retains mother's modesty; hair is a blue-black shade between mother's blue and father's jet-black hair; inherited father's Sharingan and love of tomatoes.

DeiHina: Far left, bottom; parents got together for political reasons (Deidara and Itachi were informed they'd be matched with two women of power and good-standing in Konoha--they flipped a coin to determine who married whom, and Deidara got the heiress of the most powerful shinobi clan); feisty like father, ambitious like mother; looks like father, except for eyes, which look like a pale blue Byakugan with pupils (no Byakugan abilities though); knack for pyrotechnics, which ShikaAnko baby appreciates and sometimes takes advantage of.

ShikaAnko: Second from left, bottom; parents got together when mother, upon hearing father defeated an Akatsuki member as a 15-year-old Chuunin, waited till he was legal and promptly pounced on him; child has mother's devious personality and father's smirky face to match; saw DeiHina and ItaSaku babies in shinobi preschool and immediately decided the two prettiest boys in class were going to be her friends/minions.

ItaSaku: Third from left, bottom; parents got together from coin toss-up (see DeiHina), father was matched with Godaime's apprentice and highest ranking med-nin; child is a freakin' genius, and knows it, sometimes makes sure others do too; child's hair is not quite black like father's, somehow took the teensiest red/pink tint, but it's only noticeable when child is standing next to something pure black; inherited Sharingan.

NejiIno: Girl brushing hair; parents got together when mother decided she wanted purple-eyed children; child's hair is a lighter shade of father's brown/black hair; inherited Byakugan; looks like father, sounds and acts like mother.

ChouTema: Girl with butterfly; parents got together when parents' mutual friend Shikamaru set them up (mother was looking for a "whole lotta manly man"--Shikamaru took it literally); generally friendly and loyal like father, but has the temper of her mother.

ShikaHina: Second from right; parents got together when father realized mother was nothing like his annoying mother, teammate, and that chick from Suna that keeps popping up; has father's intelligence and mother's shyness; inherited Byakugan; has already figured out how to combine Nara shadow manipulation with Hyuuga Jyuuken.

KankuHina: Far right; bottom; parents got together when puppeteer father sought mother's chakra-specialized help in training (he really only asked her because she had the biggest boobs out of all the other Konoha kunoichi he knew); father's personality coupled with mother's patience makes child a spectacular prankster; parents' shinobi abilities give child exceptional chakra control; inherited Byakugan.
